From this web site and this domain, no spam is ever sent. (Unless we are temporarily hijacked by a virus or a trojan or something that forwards spam. But that should not last long. Our software guards will prevail in the end.) My web host should also help prevent a lot of that. I do not maintain my own servers. Network Solutions can help you determine if any comes from me if you report it by forwarding it to their abuse reporting address at abuse@networksolutions.com including the header information. [To find the email header, in Outlook Express for example, right click on the mail line in your inbox, scroll to properties, select the details tab, copy all the header to your clipboard, and then paste it into the email you are sending to report the abuse.]

For SPAM spoofed to this address: As some users may know it is possible for spammers to send email and put anyone else’s email address in the “FROM:” field to make it look like it originated from somewhere besides them. Many internet providers forward email from servers spewing out spam without keeping a tight audit trail to see where it is coming from. Even worse, some of this is being done by virus like code that hops around among insecure mail servers, spews out spam, and then moves on (or so I suspect). Some of you may have received email that was made to look like it came from here. I have adopted the following policy for dealing with this problem:

In keeping with applicable standards, in order to promote a more natural balance in the environment as defined by the Dept. of Forestry and Natural Resources, in light of the overpopulation of some internet species and the lack of effective public population control resources, it is herewith decreed that any internaut who knowingly sends spam that pretends to originate from this domain will be subject to “open season” hunting throughout the world wide web, “no game limit, no license required, no age nor other restrictions.”

If you are found doing this, …. well…you don’t want to be found. Better to stop now before you end up stuffed and hanging over someone’s mantle.
