1990: SAIC i860

I helped Cedric Armstrong’s team at SAIC not long after that.  They were building a small VME based multiprocessor supercomputer using an Intel i860 with a spanning bus hypercube architecture running over the VSB bus.   They had a very tight schedule.  I messed up on the pin assignments on one device, and it took me forever to find it working extreme hours for about 2 weeks.  I finally did get our proto hardware working, I think, though too late for them to keep the project going.  ‘My Bad.’
